Coronavirus Deaths in England
Coronavirus Deaths in Each Council in EnglandLast updated on Friday 19th Feb 2021 at 17:21
The table at the bottom of this page details the number of coronavirus deaths reported in each council in England and is updated weekly on Fridays to reflect the latest available data. It also details deaths per 100,000 of population for each council over the last 30 days as well as since the start of the pandemic (cumulative deaths).
Data on COVID-19 associated deaths in England are produced by Public Health England (PHE) from multiple sources linked to confirmed case data. Deaths newly reported each day cover the 24 hours up to 5pm on the previous day.
Deaths are only included if the deceased had had a positive test for COVID-19 and died within 28 days of the first positive test.
Note that cumulative deaths refers to the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic of people who had had a positive test result for COVID-19 and died within 28 days of the first positive test.
The 30d change is calculated by comparing the number of deaths in the most recent 30 days with the 30 days immediately preceding it.
